Hi everyone, I’m currently working on a project that improves an existing type of product by adding a unique feature or concept. I don’t want to share the exact idea publicly yet, but I’d like to know how to check if it’s actually valuable or original.

What are some good ways to test whether people would be interested in this kind of improvement without revealing my full concept?

Also, is it common for successful startups to build on existing products rather than creating something totally new?

Any advice or examples would really help. Thanks!
